What qualities are we looking for in a Participant?

• Experience
  • No experience required, come and build it with us!

 

• Commitment to the program
  • Minimum of 4-5 hours per week of teamwork and meetings during the six-week program.
  • Advisory sessions up to 8-10 hours total through the duration of the challenge with your Coach.
  • Attendance for the Let's Jam! Kick Off and final Pitching Session (approx. 4 hours).
  • Setting aside valuable time and maintain your commitment to the program.

 

• Commitment to the relationship
  • Maintain professionalism and in your relationship with your Coach and your teammates
  • Following the team’s objectives, designated roles, tasks distribution and solution development.
  • Attending check-in meetings agreed upon by the Team and the Coach.

 

• Leave your ego behind
  • Being open to honest discussions with your teammates.
  • Being open to feedback and to advice, and to being coached.
  • Being capable to push back in a tactful and respectful manner if necessary.
  • Offering your teams open and honest feedback, regardless of the feedback's level of difficulty.
  • Being ready to engage in polite discussions and debates.

 

• Preparedness
  • Respecting your team's time and abilities, by preparing for each session.
  • Having a plan for discussing the team's key questions effectively and efficiently.

• If you are selected to join a team, you will participate in our Let's Jam! Kick Off and orientation session along with your team and your coach. 
• You will be advised on resources for you to work with during the challenge to ensure optimum outcomes.
