🌱 Food Bank of Contra Costa and Solano – Food Sorting

Volunteering

🌳 Food Bank of Contra Costa and Solano

🤝 Give Back to Your Community

Join PMI San Francisco Bay Area for a rewarding morning of service at the Food Bank of Contra Costa and Solano. Together, we'll help sort and package food donations that support thousands of individuals and families throughout our local communities.

Whether you're looking to make a difference, earn volunteer PDUs, or connect with fellow PMI members while giving back, this is a meaningful opportunity to create a positive impact.

❤️ Why Volunteer

Every box packed and every donation sorted helps provide nutritious food to neighbors facing food insecurity.

As a volunteer, you'll:

  • Support local families and individuals in need
  • Work alongside fellow PMI members and community volunteers
  • Earn 2 Volunteer PDUs
  • Build connections while giving back to the community
  • Be part of PMI San Francisco Bay Area's sustainability and community initiatives

No prior experience is required—just a willingness to help.

🥫 What You'll Be Doing

Warehouse volunteers will work together to:

  • Sort donated food by category
  • Inspect food items for quality
  • Box and bag fresh produce
  • Prepare food for distribution throughout Contra Costa and Solano Counties

This is a hands-on volunteer activity that keeps the Food Bank operating efficiently and helps ensure donations reach those who need them most.

👥 Who Can Participate

This opportunity is open to:

  • PMI Members
  • Students
  • Friends and family (if registered)
  • Community volunteers interested in giving back
