East Bay Housing Organizations mobilize the power and wisdom of our members to produce, preserve, and protect affordable housing opportunities for low-income communities in the East Bay. EBHO's vision is "A racially and economically just East Bay where everyone has a safe, stable, and affordable home."
In this webinar, you will hear from Executive Director Lindsay Haddix about how EBHO works with its partners in the Bay Area to commit to providing people with affordable housing. You will also hear about upcoming events and activities that will address affordable housing, and most notably how you can play a role in serving your community.

If you have made a reservation and find that you will be unable to attend, please send an email to sustainability@pmisfbac.org to cancel your ticket as early as possible. All cancellations are subject to a minimum $15.00 fee if done at least 3 days before the event. Cancellations after the event starts are subject to full charge to ensure the Chapter does not incur excessive expenses. You may also offer your seat to another student. |
About the speaker |
Lindsay Haddix
Lindsay Haddix has dedicated her entire career to solving the dual crises of homelessness and housing affordability, centering social equity and environmental sustainability in her work.
She currently serves as the Executive Director of East Bay Housing Organizations, a 40-year old housing justice nonprofit headquartered in Oakland. EBHO’s mission is to create a racially and economically just East Bay where everyone has a safe, stable, and affordable home. Prior to joining EBHO, she was the Housing Initiative Program Manager at Meta (fka Facebook) where she focused on advancing the investment and policy priorities associated with the company’s $1 billion commitment to help address the affordable housing crisis in California.
Prior to Meta, Lindsay was at San Francisco’s Department of Homelessness and Supportive Housing (HSH), overseeing the real estate development of housing, shelters, and service sites. Before joining HSH, Lindsay spent time with the San Mateo County Department of Housing and nonprofit affordable housing developer BRIDGE Housing. She started her affordable housing career in New York City at the Department of Housing Preservation and Development (HPD) and later the Housing Authority (NYCHA).
Lindsay also served as an environmental education volunteer with the Peace Corps in Guatemala. She earned a B.A. in Environmental Studies from Brown University and a Masters in City and Regional Planning from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill.
Lindsay has been a renter her entire adult life and lives in San Francisco where she enjoys running, supporting local businesses, and frequenting the SF Public Library.
