Who Should Attend:

This course is designed for anyone who stands to benefit from hands-on application of project management best practices.  If you’re new to project management, this course will provide you with the necessary information you need to prepare for and manage your first project.  If you have project management experience, but want to refresh your skills, then this is the course for you. Also, PMI certification holders who need PDUs toward their Continuing Certification Requirements can get 16 PDUs from this course.

Event Description-

This 2-day course begins by answering the question “what is project management” and defining its roles, history and dynamic industry profile. You’ll learn how to define the scope and goals of your project, how to create a schedule, draft a budget and integrate risk by anticipating what could go wrong.

Project Management Fundamentals is a great way to get your team on the same page, speaking the same language. This course will also focus on leadership components, such as communication excellence and the very essence of project management—knowing how to lead a team.

Course materials will be distributed on the first day of class. All students will receive:

FOOD SERVICE:  Food will not be provided during this class.  There will be a 1-hour break provided for lunch each day.

DRESS CODE: In order to facilitate student comfort during these hardworking training sessions, the dress code is comfortable, so jeans are acceptable. The classroom may be cold, so ensure that you bring a sweatshirt or similar, just in case.

COURSE CREDIT: Students who satisfy course completion requirements receive a "Certificate of Completion," attesting to the fact that they have completed 16 hours of project management training.  To obtain a certificate of completion for this course, students must attend all 2 days of training and participate in class activities

Each session is taught by a volunteer Instructor using state of the art instructional materials created by Andy Crowe from Velociteach and is intended to be highly interactive.

Each Instructor has years of practical project management experience and can help you to understand the application of the concepts and provide valuable insight into the use of the tools and techniques used in class.

Cancellation and No-Show Policy 

If you have made a reservation and find that you will be unable to attend, please send an email to pmpcertificationdirector@pmisfbac.org and cancel your ticket as early as possible. All cancellations are subject to a minimum $150.00 fee if done at least 10 days before the event. Cancellations after the event starts are subject to full charge to ensure the Chapter does not incur excessive expenses. However, you may assign your seat to another student who can attend for you. All refunds will be issued after two credit card-billing cycles.
