San Francisco - Marin Food Bank

"It takes a community to end hunger." We are excited for the SF-Marin Food Bank to host the PMI-SF Bay Area Chapter as we collaborate to build grocery bags that will support the local neighborhoods.

Since 1987, the San Francisco - Marin Food Bank's mission is to end hunger in San Francisco and Marin. Over 53,000 households count on the SF - Marin Food Bank for food assistance. This non-profit has multiple methods of serving the community, ranging from home-delivered groceries to food pantries throughout the region.

On Saturday October 28, volunteers will play a role in providing needed resources to underserved communities by developing grocery bags in San Francisco. Once done, the SF-Marin Food Bank team will deliver the bags we prepare to the local neighborhoods. To learn more about the SF - Marin Food Bank, please visit sfmfoodbank.org.

This is an outdoor, in-person event. The location will be shared after registration is complete.

Logistical Info

• Orientation and training are included in each shift.
• Closed-toe shoes are required for all participants.
• We recommend you do not wear jewelry. If worn, must be covered at all times.
• We suggest dressing in casual and clean layers, as the temperature in the warehouse is often cool.
• Volunteers MUST be 11 years or older. Minors must be accompanied by an adult.

Cancellation and No-Show Policy

If you have made a reservation and find that you will be unable to attend, please send an email to sustainability@pmisfbac.org and cancel your ticket at least two days before the event. Cancellations affect the day's work plan. Please do not attend without registration confirmation. If you have missed the registration window, please contact sustainability@pmisfbac.org and ask if any spaces have opened up due to cancellations.
