Green infrastructure sites are stormwater management practices. They mimic natural hydrologic conditions and manage stormwater. These sites rely on soil infiltration and native plants to manage stormwater. They can help change the perception that stormwater is an enemy and instead treat it as a friend.

About the speaker |
Mays Danfoura
Civil Engineer and a Geoscientist with consulting experience working on hydraulic modeling for sanitary sewer systems and developing study plans for stormwater best management practices. Specialties: Green Infrastructure, Urban Hydrology, Stormwater Management, Hydraulic Modeling. Currently working as a lecturer at San Francisco State University and Skyline Community College, working with students in environmental sciences and geology classes with a focus on California water issues.
