Enterprise Project Management Office (EPMO) at Dignity Health

For many years, Dignity Health has boasted a strong IT Project Management Office that has successfully executed IT projects across the enterprise.  While this team is highly successful in implementing IT focused projects, there was a gap identified on the business side.  Dignity Health’s top-level executives had no strategically focused enterprise-wide project management support on governance, project portfolio management or standardization of tools and methodologies.

Once given the green light, Dignity Health was able to launch a fully functioning business focused Enterprise PMO (EPMO) in less than 3 months!  This presentation will detail the timeline, organizational and governance structure, delivery models, intake process, integration with the IT PMO and future direction/lessons learned for launching an EPMO in a large organization.  The evolution of the EPMO will be discussed, which entails creating a hybrid methodology inclusive of Performance Improvement, Human Centered Design, and Consulting.

An EPMO positioned at the highest, strategic level supporting business needs across the enterprise is vital for the future growth and success of Dignity Health.

Come join us for an informative and fun evening!
