NextGen Leadership Virtual Meetings are monthly networking and educational opportunities for Project Management students who are starting their career as project management professionals. The purpose of the meeting is to transfer knowledge and experience to the new generation and engage project management students in their local Chapters, network with other project management students and provide information about the project management profession and related work in the Region. The university students and anyone who supports our transitioning project management professionals are welcome to attend the virtual meeting.

Guest Speaker: Paloma Mejia PMP, CSM

Paloma is a certified project manager and engineer with over a decade of experience in the technology and analytics space in various industries such as energy, oil and gas, and semiconductors. She currently works at Facebook, Inc. as a Software Program Manager. She has worked in consulting engagements with clients in North and South America with many Fortune 500 companies clients such as Qualcomm, Cisco Systems, Facebook, and Dominion Energy. She also teaches in the Masters of Business Analytics program at Golden Gate University. She has been a pro-bono volunteer for the Project Management Institute San Francisco Bay Area Chapter (PMI SFBAC) since 2011 and most recently as a member of the PMI SFBAC Board of Directors. She also coaches and trains students on PMP and CAPM Exam preparation in her spare time.

Paloma holds a Master’s in Mechanical Engineering from Purdue University. She is PMP and CSM certified. She speaks Spanish, Portuguese, and French fluently.

Paloma is originally from Lima, Peru. She loves reading, traveling, playing golf, and writing. She lives in the San Francisco bay area along with her husband and daughter.
