For most of you, after you flush, you are glad to be done with it. That’s when Bessie Tam’s job begins. The Sewer System Improvement Program (SSIP) is a 20-year citywide investment required to upgrade the aging San Francisco sewer infrastructure to ensure a reliable and seismically safe sewer system now and for generations to come. Come learn how the San Francisco sewer system works, how we got here, and the multi-billion dollar improvements that started in 2012. Bessie will also explain how sewer assets, with service lives of 30, 50 or 100-years, are inherently sustainable. The registration fee is a donation we are collecting for community service project materials. About the Speaker:

Bessie Tam serves as a Board Director at PMI SF Bay Area Chapter. Bessie is a PMP who has been delivering projects for the City and County of San Francisco for over 20-years and is currently a Project Manager overseeing over $200M of sewer improvements with the San Francisco Water Sewer and Power, services of San Francisco Public Utilities Commission. |

All cancellations are subject to a minimum $15.00 fee if done at least 3 days before the event. Cancellations after the event starts are subject to full charge to ensure the Chapter does not incur excessive expenses. You may also offer your seat to another student. |
